Women in Science, Engineering and Research (WiSER) Committee
Taking Up More Active Roles in the 23^rd AFEO Mid-Term Meeting

IES proudly hosted the 23^rd ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) Mid-Term Meeting from 11 to 13 July 2024. This prestigious event brought together engineering professionals from 9 ASEAN countries for vital governance meetings, collaborative discussions, and enriching networking sessions.

This year’s AFEO, held in conjunction with NED 2024 wasone of the major highlights was the panel discussion on 10 July 2024 where the Women in Science, Engineering and Research (WiSER) and WE-AFEO collaborated to focus on Women Engineers (WE) leading the circular economy initiative in ASEAN region.

The IES/IEEE Joint Medal of Excellence Award 2024

The aim of the award is to promote engineering as a profession and to recognize an individual for his/her contributions in Engineering that have had far-reaching impacts on society. This award is highly prestigious and the recipient will be recognized not only in Singapore but also the region and around the world.

Eligible candidates are invited to submit nominations using the IES/IEEE Joint Medal of Excellence Award nomination form, available here. For criteria and eligibility, click here. The recipient will receive the award at the IES 58th Annual Dinner on 15 October 2024.
